Napoleon hill on desire

The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps, viz:

First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say "I want plenty of money."Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness which will be described in a subsequent chapter).

Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing.)

Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning.

AS YOU READ-SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY. It is important that you follow the instructions described in these six steps. It is especially important that you observe, and follow the instructions in the sixth paragraph. You may complain that it is impossible for you to "see yourself in possession of money" before you actually have it.

Here is where a BURNING DESIRE will come to your aid. If you truly DESIRE money so keenly that your desire is an obsession, you will have no difficulty in convincing yourself that you will acquire it.

The object is to want money, and to become so determined to have it that you CONVINCE yourself you will have it.

To the uninitiated, who has not been schooled in the working principles of the human mind, these instructions may appear impractical. It may be helpful, to all who fail to recognize the soundness of the six steps, to know that the information they convey, was received from Andrew Carnegie, who began as an ordinary laborer in the steel mills, but managed, despite his humble beginning, to make these principles yield him a fortune of considerably more than one hundred million dollars.

Napoleon hill and the law of attraction

Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements. Napoleon Hill

I just recently read the book The Secret, It's definitely a good read and I recommend it to anyone looking to gain happiness. The Secret was not my first introduction to The law of Attraction tho. The book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill was. This book has inspired me in so many ways, you can literally Think and Grow Rich.

You have to use the law of attraction and see yourself rich, and truly believe you are rich. Use a positive mental attitude to help knock away all those bad feelings. Be grateful for the things you do have, and don't dread upon the things you don't. The universe is abundant for everyone, and anyone can achieve any level of success. The only people that do are the ones that take the classes, and take the steps. Attract to yourself financial knowledge, and learn the laws of success.

The Car Accident That Didnt Happen! Appreciate your Success

“You might well remember that nothing can bring you success but yourself”
Napoleon Hill

I am going to tell you a story, a true story. This story has affected my life in more ways than I can ever truly explain in writing. But I will try, because it is a lesson I believe we should all learn.

I grew up very poor, without much, and ever sense I was young I would tell myself I would be someone. I wouldn't live like my parents lived, I would beat the rat race and become successful. I wanted to experience the good things of life, and not have to deal with money problems. My desire was deep and became a obsession. That set me fighting on towards my goals, which I'm forever in the pursuit of. I learn more and gain more each and every day, as I accomplish goals I build new ones.

But as much as I am learning, and as much as I am gaining. I didn't appreciate it.

I was driving home from work one day, exhausted and tired. I have a problem when it comes to driving on the highway, I tend to doze off. Well I was driving along at 75mph with the cruise control on. Next thing I know I wake up, a second away from hitting blinking sign saying the lane was closed. I hit the brakes and turned the wheel just missing the sign. I thought I was dead, I didn't know what I was still alive. I head on collision, at that speed, at a object that big, there was no way. But some how I avoided it. I am alive. Do I believe I should have died that day, all the facts say I should have. But I didn't. I am here now, to teach, to learn, and to earn myself. But the main lesson within this story.

No matter what your doing, no matter how far you've come or haven't. Life is precious, and every second your alive is worth it. Don't live fighting off old regrets, or misfortunes. Live for today, and the good things in life. Appreciate how far you have come, and just the fact that your alive and able to pursue your dreams. Fight hard to accomplish your goals, but all the while appreciate the fact that you have the chance and how far you have come.

Everyone can be happy, and everyone can gain success.

The Mastermind Alliance, Napoleon hills Theory

"Analyze the record of any person who has accumulated great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the Master Mind principle." Napoleon Hill

A mastermind alliance is built upon two or more people working together in perfect harmony in order to accomplish a definite goal. If you use the mastermind principle to its fullest there is no obstacle you cannot best.

A mind is not complete on its own. When you use other peoples knowledge and then organize that knowledge towards a specific goal, you can accomplish anything. No one has ever gained substantial success without using this mastermind principle. All great minds grow and prosper through contact with others.

Steps to build a Mastermind Alliance
  1. Determine Your purpose
  2. Select the mebers of your alliance
  3. Determine your rewards
  4. Set a time and place for meeting

Cultivate Vision with a Positive Mental Attitude

"What can be conceived can be created with a Positive Mental Attitude." Napoleon Hill
Man's greatest gift is his mind, It analyzes, compares, chooses. It creates, visualizes, foresees, and generates ideas.

Imagination is your mind's exercise, challenge, and adventure. It is the key to all of a person's achievements, the main spring of all human endeavor, the secret door to the soul of a person. Imagination inspires human endeavor in connection with material things and ideas associated with material things.

Imagination is the workshop of the human mind, where old ideas and established facts may be assembled in new combinations and put to new uses. It is the act of constructive intellect in the grouping of materials, knowledge, or thoughts into new, original, and rational systems, a constructive or creative faculty embracing poetic, artistic, philosophical, scientific, and ethical imagination.

Creative vision may be an inborn quality of the mind or an acquired quality, for it may be developed by the free and fearless use of the faculty of imagination.

Creative vision extends beyond interest in material things. It judges the future by the past and concerns itself with the future more than with the past. Imagination is influenced and controlled by the powers of reason and experience. Creative vision pushes these aside and attains its ends by basically new ideas and methods.

One of the ways to increase your flow of ideas is by developing the habit of taking study time, thinking time, and planning time. Be quit and motionless, and listen for that small, still voice that speaks from within as you contemplate they ways in which you can achieve your objectives.

Napoleon Hill and Think and Grow Rich

Six Steps to make goals From Napoleon Hill

"The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat."
Napoleon Hill

Six Steps to make goals From Napoleon Hill

The decemeber holiday season is my favorite time of year. As the year comes to an end, and the holiday spirit is in the air, I take this time to reflect on the passing year, and set my goals for the next one.

As we are getting ready for the New Year, take time to be grateful for all the great things that you’ve experienced this year, and set some goals for 2009.

As a business person I feel excited about the fact that I can dictate how much money I make.  If I was working for a corporation, setting a goal to double my income next year, or even a bigger goal than that, wouldn’t really matter.  But if you own your own business, you decide what your paycheck is going to be.

From Page thirty six of “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill goes over the six steps of obtaining your goals.

Step 1.  Set a goal.  Know Exactly what you want.  Be specific.

Step 2.  Determine exactly what you will give in return for what you want to receive.

Step 3.  Set a deadline for your accomplishment.

Step 4.  Create a definite plan and put it into action immediately, whether you’re ready or not.

Step 5.  Write out a clear concise statement with the 4 steps above, what your goal is, what you will do in return to achieve it, the date you intend to get it, and describe the plan through which you will acquire it.

Step 6.  Read your statement twice daily, in the morning and at night, and here’s the key (excerpt from the book) “AS YOU READ – SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSESSION OF YOUR GOAL”.

Take the time now to decide what you really want and see and feel as you’ve already got it, and KNOW that it’s on it’s way.

Napoleon hills Keys to Success- Adversity Becomes a Blessing

"Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure." Napoleon Hill

When defeat over takes you, you cannot spend your time counting your losses. You have to save it to count your assets and gains. You will then realize they are greater than any loss you have suffered.

Essay from Emerson
A fever, a mutilation, a cruel disappointment, a loss of wealth, a loss of friends, seems at the moment unpaid loss, and unpayable. But the sure years reveal the deep remedial force that underlies all facts. The death of a dear friend, spouse, brother, lover, which seemed nothing but privation somewhat later assumes the aspect of a guide or genius; for it commonly operates revolution in our way of life, terminates an epoch of infancy or of youth which was waiting to be closes, breaks up a wanted occupation, or a household, or style of living, allows the formation of new ones more friendly to the growth of character.
It permits or constrains the formation of new acquaintances, and the reception of new influences that prove of first importance to the next years; and the man or woman who would have remained a sunny garden flower, with no room for its roots and too much sunshine for its head, by the falling of the walls and the neglect of the gardener is made the banyan of the forest, yielding shade and fruit to wide neighborhoods of man.

Time is preserves seeds of equal benefit that hides within a loss. The best way to begin looking for a seed is within a loss is now.  Begin to examine defeats within your pasts, and try and pick out the seed of success in each one. At times the defeat seems to unbearable and at first you cannot think straight and begin searching for the seed of success within every failure. But now you know this wisdom, you are ready to look at every hardship that comes your way in a new light.  Take each defeat, and figure out how you can make it a success or what you learned from it. Mistakes and failures teach us, that's the seed, and success is what you do with that knowledge.
